A Whimbrel spotted on The Sea Ranch by Rozann Grunig
A Whimbrel, a large shorebird, recently stopped by on its migration to its breeding grounds far to our north. Rozann Grunig was there with her camera to record the event.

He looks lost.
That birds such as this Whimbrel can travel thousands of miles every year and end up at the right place is a miracle. I get lost in downtown Santa Rosa!
